About Us.
Welcome to the Toowoomba Gospel Choir.
We are a community of passionate singers who come together to celebrate our love for Jesus through contemporary gospel music.
Our choir is a welcoming space for those who love to sing praises with others and be part of a musical Christian community.
TGC is a non-demoninational group open to singers and musicians from age 13 and up.
Our concerts are aimed at bringing the joy of praise and stir people to worship, all in the vibrant and declarative style of Gospel.

Frequently Asked Questions
Who can join the choir?
Singers do need to be able to sing in tune and have a good sense of rhythm. The ability to read sheet music is handy, but not necessary. An informal audition may be required.
I play an instrument, is there room for me?
Yes absolutely!
We're always looking to expand our band/orchestra with strings, brass, woodwinds, percussion.
Our core band would love to also add a second keyboardist.
When are your rehearsals?
The choir rehearses every Monday night from 7:00pm - 8:30pm
(sometimes later leading up to a concert.)
The band/orchestra schedule rehearsals as necessary.
Do I need to be a Christian?
As all of our songs are aimed at glorifying Jesus, it is important to us that we believe what we sing.
What are the costs of membership?
Fees are $55 per term
What kind of music do you do?
A combination of urban Gospel and contemporary Praise and Worship songs.

Our Band.
We're not just a choir, all our music is backed by a live 5-piece band, and sometimes a whole orchestra!
Our band is an integral part of our musical experience, but we are always looking for talented musicians to join us in creating an authentic and joyful gospel sound. In addition to our core band, we invite experienced musicians who can play instruments such as brass, woodwinds, strings, and more to be part of a larger orchestra for our concerts.
